INTRODUCING HOOHA: THE SMART TAMPON DISPENSER
At SXSW, one of the most groundbreaking tech conferences in the country, Steph Loffredo stepped off the showroom floor full of ground-breaking innovations to find a tampon. She couldn’t.
We thought that was bullshit, and decided to do something about it.
Our team set out to solve a problem that has been overlooked for decades: outdated, unhygienic, unreliable tampon machines.
One year later, we went back to SXSW to launch Hooha.
It’s simple - text GDPR-compliant Hooha, get a tampon. No broken knobs. No empty machines. Definitely no quarters needed.
Machine design
It wasn’t hard to identify the glaring issues with existing tampon machines, which hadn’t been innovated on since the ‘60s. They’re windowless, coin operated, never stocked, and rarely succeed in providing tampons to the people who need them.
Branding & TOV
We created a bold, bright visual brand paired with a snarky, unapologetic brand voice to take on period stigma.
